Revere Man Arraigned for Indecent Assault and Battery

BOSTON, July 8, 2022 — A Revere man was arraigned in Suffolk Superior Court today on five charges, including larceny, indecent assault and battery on a person above fourteen, and attempt to commit a crime, District Attorney Kevin Hayden announced.

MUNEEB MOHAMMED, 49, groped an intoxicated and unconscious victim in the Transportation Building last February, Assistant District Attorney Bader Abueid said. Clerk Magistrate Stacey Pichardo ordered $15,000 bail for Mohammed with the conditions that he stay away from the victim and witnesses, surrender his passport, wear a GPS monitoring device, and stay away from the city of Boston.

Abueid said that at 1:50 a.m. on February 20, Mohammed approached a visibly intoxicated woman who became unconscious in the Transportation Building food court. According to several witnesses and surveillance footage, Mohammed sat next to her and touched and kissed her for thirty minutes. Footage also showed him rifling through her purse.

Security officers intervened when Mohammed attempted to carry the victim toward the building exit. When police arrived at the scene, Mohammed claimed to be in the process of helping her to the hospital. The victim’s cell phone was found in his pocket.

In a later interview, Mohammed admitted to touching her while he was aware that she was unconscious.

Mohammed returns to court on September 14 for a pre-trial conference. His presumptive trial date is scheduled for March 27, 2023. He is represented by Attorney Patrick Joya.
