BOSTON, JULY 21, 2022—A Boston woman was arraigned yesterday in connection to a June 13 Egleston Square shooting, District Attorney Kevin Hayden said.

DASHLEEN LUGO, 29, is charged with one count of accessory after the fact to a non-fatal shooting. At her arraignment in the Roxbury Division of the Boston Municipal Court, Judge

David Weingarten imposed $1,000 bail, agreed to the Commonwealth’s request that she stay away from both the shooting victim and her co-defendant, and ordered her to attend weekly probation meetings.

On June 13, police responded to a call for a person shot near Egleston Square. The victim informed the officers that he had been shot in the leg while with friends outside of the Egleston Square Library. The victim also stated that the shooter, who is known by the victim as “El Menor,” left the scene in a dark grey Ford sedan traveling toward Seaver Street.

The victim identified Lugo during a photo array as the driver of the sedan. On July 8, detectives located Lugo driving the sedan on Slayton Way. She was stopped. asked to provide proof of identity, and arrested.

Lugo returns to court on September 12 for a probable cause hearing. She is represented

by Attorney Bob O’Connell.

A warrant has been issued for the shooter.
